Yes, yes, yes, please give Melissa McCarthy more of these roles! She is fantastic. Richard E Grant is also fantastic. I didn't know anything about Lee Israel going in.
McCarthy is not likable but is somewhat sympathetic. This movie really does a great job connecting you to why Lee did what she did. It is a phenomenal character piece.
GO see this movie in theaters if you love NYC.
