A solid animated movie. There are a few adult jokes peppered in to keep parents entertained. I saw this in 3D and it was enjoyable. It wasn't super gimmicky.
The main conflict in the movie is around ignorance being bliss. I think the movie goes in the right direction with the message in the end. I can only imagine what questions parents will have to answer after the movie if the kids fully grasp the movie's messaging.
The songs are somewhat catchy. I especially liked Common's song and think it channeled Hamilton, granted I don't listen to Common. None of the songs are probably going to stick with kids. This ain't another Frozen.
